Grappler Extreme Terrain radial tire, the
latest offering from Nitto Tires
specifically designed for light trucks and
SUVs. With the introduction of the Mud
Grappler Extreme Terrain, Nitto Tire expands
its Light Truck tire line-up to encompass
extreme off-pavement needs.
The Nitto Mud Grappler Extreme Terrain tires
are designed to provide exceptional off-road
traction. The Mud Grappler features
monstrous 15mm side-lugs, which provide
excellent sidewall puncture resistance along
with outstanding rock crawling and mud
traction. The computer designed tread
pattern features a high void ratio for
excellent clearing of mud and dirt,
anti-side slip grooves for better lateral
traction, and sipes for performance on snow
and slush.

Grappler Desert Terrain
tire, an exciting addition to Nitto's
popular Grappler series. The Dune Grappler
satisfies the enthusiast who wants an
aggressive tread for off road capabilities,
while providing a more comfortable and
quieter ride on the road. By utilizing
advanced computer simulation technology, the
Dune Grappler's tread block arrangement
reduces high levels of noise commonly
associated with aggressive tires, while
still providing a traction-oriented tread
for off road use.
The new Dune Grappler Desert Terrain tire
will be offered in higher load range ratings
of ‘D’ and ‘E' in certain sizes. These
higher load ratings make the Nitto Dune
Grappler Desert Terrain capable for use with
heavyweight trucks, such as Ford Super Duty
and GM Heavy Duty, as well as other large
and mid-sized trucks on the road today. "LT"
sizes will be available with a 3-ply
sidewall construction for increased puncture
resistance.
Nitto Dune Grappler All Terrain tires will
also feature Nitto's "Bead Block"
technology, a rim protector feature designed
to offer increased protection to your
valuable wheels. The Dune Grappler will be
available from 15- to 22-inch wheel sizes,
with additional sizes becoming available
later this year.

 The "Extreme" uni-directional tread design provides NT-450 radials with
excellent wet weather performance and superior traction, while delivering a
smooth ride. A double-V tread design comprised of a combination of slanted
grooves and lateral slits provide efficient water drainage to ensure superior

stability and retains flexibility at low temperatures.

Tire's engineers developed the NT-555 "Extreme ZR". With a specially formulated
compound and one of the biggest contact patches available, the NT-555 provides

With the NT555R “Extreme
Drag”, Nitto engineers succeeded in designing a DOT
approved, drag racing radial tire that would outperform all
other drag radials, provide impressive control and handling,
and still deliver up to 15,000 miles of tread life of normal
street-driving use.
NT555R's are manufactured with the original tread depth of
6/32nds” and are constructed with a specially formulated
soft racing tread compound to provide maximum traction.
However, this soft and flexible tread will wear much quicker
than tread compounds formulated for regular passenger cars.
The Nitto NT555R is designed primarily for competition drag
racing, but is also very popular and exceptional on road
courses, track racing, and drifting.
