| The Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT is Goodyear's Performance Winter Extended Mobility Technology tire that was developed for the drivers of high performance sport coupes and sport sedans that require run flat capability combined with traction on winter's dry, wet and snow-covered roads. Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT winter tires are designed to combine good snow and ice traction with European high-speed winter driving performance. Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT winter tires feature a performance winter compound molded into a V-TRED technology directional tread pattern to combine winter traction in snow with hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads. The Eagle Ultra Grip GW3's rounded shoulder and independent intermediate tread blocks enhance dry and wet road handling while the center rib provides constant road contact for highway stability. All elements of the tread design use strategically placed sipes to provide the biting edges needed to help grip snow for winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT winter tires meet the industry’s severe snow service requirements and are branded with the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol. Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT tires feature winter wear indicators to identify when wear causes the remaining tread depth to become unable to provide beneficial snow performance. Install Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 EMT tires in sets of four only. Due to the traction capabilities of the Eagle Ultra Grip GW3, Goodyear recommends using Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 tires only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance. |
